Q. Pages: How do you adjust letter-spacings in Pages?

Hi, I have a problem with letter-spacings in Pages. With the default settings, Pages puts too wide spacings on spaces and letters like below.



I believe it's because Pages doesn't allow word-breaks. That might be why long words that don't fit in the respective line are pushed down to the next line, only to make the previous line stretched wider.


Is there any way Pages can apply the default spacings between letters like below?

Unfortunately, Pages does not perform auto-kerning or even give fine-grained kerning capability. Your choice of font and alignment style will contribute to the inter-word spacing that can be more or less effective. With your text selected, you want the character spacing adjustment (outlined in red below) on the Advanced Options panel:
