My older IMAC has gone black screen. Powers on but with a total black screen, any suggestions?

I have unplugged for several minutes, held power button for 20 seconds to reboot.

Any additional suggestions?

If that does not help, then you need to contact Apple Support or your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.
