My new car requires a usb plug-in style from the iphone to the USB port in order to use apple carplay. I was told I couldn’t use a usb charger chord with my new iPhone 13. Is this true? If so, is there an adapter? True with my computer as well, how do I plug my new iPhone 13 into my computer?! I have USB charging ports in my couch as well, this is so disappointing.

If you have lightning to USB A type cables from previous iPhones, you can use those.
Otherwise, just buy the cable you need. Adapters are more of a pain IMO
