macos finder column separator so fat

Dear all,

suddenly finder column separators are so fat. I don't why and where can I change it back.

Grrrr. I'm really upset.

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 12.2

Change "Show scroll bars:" in System Preferences > General to anything but "Always".

How to remove third column in Finder Windows on macOS 13.5.1? A couple of days ago the appearance of my Finder windows changed. For decades the Finder windows have consisted of only two columns: the sidebar on the left and the larger window showing the documents in the folder at which I am looking. But recently a third column has appeared to the right of the main column. This third column show a thumbnail of whatever document I have highlighted in the main column of the Finder window. I do not know what to call this third column. I call it a right-side side bar simply because that is what it looks like to me. I can close this third column by dragging its left border over to the right side of the Finder window. That gets tedious. I expect that this "right-side side bar" appeared when I made some errant keystroke while doing something else. I have no idea what this incorrect keystroke might be. Does anyone recognize what I am trying to describe here? Is there some way to remove this third column from my Finder windows? I am in MacOS 13.5.1. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Finder looks strange - I can't change the size of the columns etc Hi All, Since I updated my Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15.5, finder looks like this (see both images below). For some reasons I can't change the size of the columns and it just looks very different in every views modes. Does anyone would know what settings I need to change to have it back like before? Need to extend Finder window to see full file info Hello, When I click on an image file in the Finder window in the Column layout, a thumbnail with file info pops up to the right. The file info is shown as below. Information Created Modified Last Opened Dimensions However, I try to scroll down and will not scroll beyond the Modified Line so Last Opened and Dimensions are not visible unless I extend the Finder window which is a bit annoying and hoping there's some setting that resolves this. Running the latest Monterey update but been happening since the earliest Mac OS I can remember. After all these years and thinking they would fix this, checking in with the Community for a solution.
