Icon Preview no showing thumbnail photos

I'm transferring video files to an external drive. I have done this in the past and the previews show the "photo" of the video, but now, they just show the Q (QuickTime) icon. Can this be changed? I'm running Monterey 12.2.1.

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

Finder icon view doesn't show image thumbnail


Open Activity Monitor.app

Search for a process called "com.apple.quicklook.ThumbnailsAgent"

Forced quit that process

Relaunch the Finder (hold the Control Options keys , click Finder >"Relaunch"
