Time Machine backup for iMac migration?
Using Migration assistant, can the Time Machine backup HD have other files on it and backups done over multiple times, or should I erase the disk and do a new complete backup?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
Your TM can have multiple TM backups over time and not an issue when migrating. TM knows what files to migrate (usually the latest). Like already stated I would also just use a drive dedicated to TM.
