MS Office 365 Docs disapeared

My MacBook Pro updated to MacOS Monterey v12.2.1 last night and now all of my MS 365 documents have disappeared!!! Where did they go and how do I recover them? This will be a major loss for me if they're gone for good! Very Upset

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.2

I'm not familiar with Office 365, however, do you know in which folder the documents are normally saved. If you know this and have a Time Machine set up you can see if you can recover the lost files.

If you haven't got a Time Machine or any other backup all I can suggest is looking in the Bin in case they are there.

To see where your documents are normally stored just create a new document and give it a distinctive name so that you can do a Spotlight search.

Just a reminder that backups are essential and are there for just this event.
