Depending on which iPad Pro you have, the 2cd generation pencil

may or may not be compatible. Use this link to check:

If not compatible, you will need to get the correct Apple Pencil.

Depending on when you purchased your 2cd gen pencil, you may be

able to return it for a refund and then purchase the 1st gen.
