My pictures got deleted on my iPad and they’re not on my iPhone or an iCloud help

My husband did something to my iPad to make more storage and now all my pictures are gone on my phone but I had iCloud

iCloud Photos is a syncing service. Any photo you delete from a device where iCloud Photos is turned on will also be deleted from iCloud and from any other device connected to iCloud Photos. See: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

If he deleted them within the last 30 days and if he didn't remove them from Recently Deleted after deleting them, you should be able to recover them from Recently Deleted on the device or iCloud.com. See: If you're missing photos or videos in the Photos app - Apple Support
