Missing files after macOS upgrade

After I upgraded to macOS Monterey my pdfs files in books disappeared. Where are these files in the backup (time machine)?

Backup overwriting Documents on External Disc Why did the Backup overwrote my archives in my External Disk and how can I recover them? I saved some Files on my External Disc before. /Users/<username>/Library/Containers/Books/

Restore that folder from backup. Containers are how things are sandboxed. Probably best to restore the entirety of the Containers folder tree.
