No sound from incoming texts with iPhone XR

No sound from incoming texts

Same as many I expect! I also have an apple iwatch. The problem is frustrating in that every time I receive a text, there’s no sound coming from my iPhone (15.2.1 update), but quite often I receive a singular bell sound on my iwatch. Please help me. My husband used to be able to fix any problems I had with my iPhone but sadly, he passed away recently after a long fight with Oesophageal Cancer. I would be so grateful for your help.

Hello,

Yeah, that's the way that it works. When you have an Apple Watch notifications sound on the watch instead and sometimes they can be easily missed, for example, if the watch is underneath a jacket sleeve etc.

You might make a request of Apple to have an option to not mirror notifications to the watch:
