AirPods only playing with the right one if not in Sound Preferences.

Hi, I've been experiencing an issue lately with my AirPods while using them with my Mac. It only plays sound on one AirPod (which is the right one). This happens on YouTube or any other sound really. I hear the connected sound from both AirPods but when it comes to apps or websites, it doesn't act the same.

I tried changing some settings to maybe fix the issue and I found out that audio played on both AirPods when the Sound Preferences are open but it is back to one AirPod when it is closed.

Any help? Thanks
