Unstable internet connection

Whenever I use Zoom on my MacMini, I have an unstable internet connection, with frequent "freezing" of other speakers. I do not have the same problem on my IPad, which is on the same network. Today I began a trial of a different network provider, but am having the same problem, so it must be something in this computer.

Congratulations on evaluating the situation. That is an important first step. Clearly your iPad has a wireless connection. What does the Mac have? If it's wireless, have you tried a wired Ethernet connection to see what happens? If it's wired, you can try resetting the modem by turning it off for several minutes and then turning it back on. Sometimes that fixes the problem. Some internet service providers provide various test and diagnostic links on their web sites, one of which will test and confirm speed. I would check that out and carefully look at your network settings in the computer.

Please post the channel, RSSI, noise, transmission rate, and PHY Mode, as was requested above.


And please also try a wired Ethernet connection from the Mac to the Wi-Fi router switch port, as was suggested.
