Well, there are a number of settings you can do from the Watch app on the paired iPhone. However the Settings on the Watch can be access by pressing and releasing the Digital Crown. That will display the apps on the Watch, either in Grid, which is the icon view, or List, which shows the apps listed in alphabetical order. The settings app in the Grid view looks like the gear icon you see on your iPhone for Settings.
