USB cable
My iPhone cannot be connected to the iMac by the USB cable.
Why not? What happens when you try? What version of iPhone do you have? Does this cable have a USB-A connecter or USB-C?

OK... so it is connected, but something is wrong and the phone will have to be restored.

I don't know , this message (the contents of the iPhone 12 pro max could not be read. Click restore to restore the iPhone to factory settings.? The cable type is type-C
