I recently restored my iPod. How do I find old backup files that I made (Windows 10). In other words, where would they be typically located (as iTunes says I never made a local backup, as it sees my iPod as 'new').
If I can locate that last backup, is there a way that I can force iTunes to 'Restore' it, as the Restore button is grayed out?

Thanks very much bobjbkln. That's very helpful and allowed me to find the backups. Do you have any idea of how I can restore a backup to my iPod through iTunes, as the 'Restore' button is greyed out (I assume because my iPod was reset and shows as 'new'?

I don't no idea of what you should be doing, but if you don't get a better response to you query, this is what I'd try. First make a copy of your current backup for safe keeping. Then I would make a backup of your current iPod on your computer. That should activate the Restore button. Then do the restore from your saved backup.
Thanks again for your response bobjbkln. I did as you suggested and backed-up, which did indeed make the 'Restore' button active. However, I was only able to restore what I had just backed up. iTunes never gave me an option to select any of the 3 or 4 older backups that I have on my hard drive.
You should have a choice of backups to restore. Are both the old and new backups in the same folder on your PC? If not, copy your old backups to the folder with the new backup.
