install an older version of MacOS onto an external drive using an M1 Mac?

Hello all,

I've been making the move to M1, but I am now in need of a functioning boot disk in another mac that is refusing to re-install. It needs to be Mojave. Is it possible to install Mojave onto an external drive using an M1 mac to do it?

thanks

To perform this action will require booting from a Bootable Installer

This will have to be performed from a Qualifying Computer to run the version of macOS to be made on the Bootable Installer. Example : Bootable Installer of Mojave would have to be done on a computer that Qualifies to run Mojave.

If the computer that is being used to attempt this does not appear as Qualifying to run Mojave because it is too Old or Worse To New - another method or Qualifying computer will be required.
