Computer not authorized to play Music from Old Dufunct APPLE ID

Message says 'to play this song, you must authorize this computer for songs purchased with the Apple ID "-------------" which is an ID I had 15 yrs ago and doesn't exist anymore. is there a work around? apprc any help tx

Computer "Authorization" issue Hi, I recently purchased a number of new songs for the holidays. All purchases went through fine, and all songs show up in my iTunes library on my computer hard drive. One song however will not play. It always generates a "This computer is not authorized to play ______ would you like to authorize it now? I have authorized/deauthorized and re-authorized my computer numerous times to no avail. The only difference I notice now is that when I 'manage devices' in My Account, my computer is no longer listed, my iPod and iPad are, but my laptop no longer shows up. ALL of my music plays fine except for one recently purchase song. Any ideas?

This computer is not authorized to play a song. I just purchased an album on iTunes and have tried to play it. Three of the songs will not play. I keep the the message, "This computer is not authorized to play (song). Would you like to authorize it?" I enter my Apple ID and password to authroize it. Then I get this message, "This computer had previously been authorized. It has been re-authorized. Including thisone, you have authorized 3 computers out of you available 6." Still can't play the song. Get the same initial message. What the hell?

SOME SONGS WILL NOT PLAY , IT SAYS TO AUTHORIZE COMPUTER. COMPUTER IS ALREADY AUTHORIZED AUTHORIZED COMPUTER CAN'T PLAY PURCHASED DOWNLOADED MUSIC , DROP BOX COME UP SAYS I NEED TO AUTHORIZE. AFTER I SAY OK IT SAYS I ALREADY AUTHORIZED THE COMPUTER IT HAPPENS ON SOME SONGS PURCHASED BUT NOT OTHERS.

No. Those songs, and any other purchases on that account, are forever associated with your old Apple ID.
