In order to save my battery life span, should I keep my MacBookPro 15 plugged into the charger all the time?

You can plug your computer in whenever convenient to do so. Leaving it plugged in will not damage the computer or the battery. Leaving it plugged in will reduce the rate of accumulation of battery cycles. The MacOS manages the computer's power/charging system very well. There is no need for you to micromanage the system.
