hi all.
I'm on a new M1 MacBook pro.
I have a Time Machine backup from my old mac and id like to access it to put some files manually onto the new machine.
Ive got it set up as a NAS, plugged in but when i go into time machine there are no previous backups, despite the backup bundle being nearly 5TB.
any ideas how i access it?

And be selective what is move to new M1 CPU Computer.
Old TM Backup from Intel to New Apple Silicon - Old Machine with Old problems to New with Pristine and Virginal Monterey - not good idea. This will just pollute the Monterey with Old Problems IMHO

Just what do you mean by "Ive got it set up as a NAS,"
Was the backup written to one disk and then you copied it to the WDCloud disk?
Did use migration assistant to restore any files from the WDCloud disk?
The issue might be the WDCloud Software is playing up with Monterey macOS 12
i just mean it’s a NAS drive connected via ethernet so it’s on the ‘network’.
is there a simple way to restore files from a time machine backup from computer 1 to computer 2?
using time machine of another mac to restore?
