Voice control ONLY for certain apps
I want to use voice control for certain apps, but I don’t want it to type for me. How do I turn off the automatic typing for when I talk but still continue for my other apps?
iPhone 12, iOS 15

Voice Control defaults to recognizing both commands and dictation, but you can change the recognition mode to only recognize commands. To force Voice Control to only recognize commands, say “Command Mode”. To switch back to recognizing dictation as well, say “Dictation Mode”. If while in commands-only mode you want to dictate a short phrase you can use the “Type ” command, such as “Type Looking forward to seeing you.”

Settings > General > Accessibility > Siri > Type to Siri [Disable]
