macbook air froze during software upgrade to bigsur

I was uploading big sur to my MacBook air and the entire computer froze at install. I am amber to enter my password but then It just freezes with the mac symbol like it's still loading.

Hi, and Happy New Year.

I assume your macOS on the internal SSD is corrupted, so you need to run Disk First Aid of DiskUtility.

Try to start up in Recovery Mode, then run Disk First Aid to recover your macOS.

How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, you need to reformat internal SSD and Reinstall MacOS with Recovery mode.
