"Customize Toolbar"

How do I turn off "customize toolbar" when using Safari? That pop-up pops up ALL THE TIME and has to be clicked over and over to turn off. Any hints?

iMac 24″, macOS 11.6

Don't ctrl-click in the toolbar.

If you have a Magic Trackpad, it might be force touch (full, hard press). I'm not at my Mac with a Force Touch Trackpad to check.

Safari Toolbar Hi, I am trying to customise my Safari toolbar (Mac Ver: 11.2.2) and I cannot make any changes. I go to view and customise the toolbar. I try to dragging an item to the toolbar and nothing happens.
