I have a lot of music downloaded but nothing is playing. It just sits at the start of the song for a while and then jumps to the next song. I’ve never had this problem before. How do I fix it so the music I have downloaded plays again?

Turn on Cellular for Music briefly (say 15 minutes) and turn it off again, could do the trick. If it does, repeat when it hoses up again. Offline music doesn’t mean offline forever, the App needs to connect to the server periodically for authenticating/validating your subscription.

How long have you been offline? How long do you think you can be offline? How remote is your location?
Irrespective, your device needs to be online periodically for authentication/validation and your device also needs to be on the latest iOS to work properly. Work on it, all the best!

Why would that explain it? I pay for the service that includes the ability to download music for offline use and that’s not working
If your WiFi has issues, your downloads are questionable. What’s the problem with your WiFi, why won’t you address it?
I’m in a remote location. There is no WiFi for cell phones. The whole point of downloading the music was to listen to it offline which I have been doing just fine until today.
There is no cellular where I am. And I have not been offline forever. This is not helpful.
apple support fixed it with a button press combination and no internet.
