Mouse not cconnecting to MacBook Air

MacBook Air, 13", 2017. MacOS Catallna 10.15.7

Mouse does not connect in the past week. Often have gone to System Preferences, Mouse. System finds Mouse, soon displays Connected and within a few seconds Connection Lost. Have attempted to connect many many times! Help?

Yesterday with no symptoms of any problems, my USB and my Bluetooth mouse won't connect. I have tried both mice on another Mac and they work fine. Bluetooth mouse is charged. USB ports work fine with other devices. I have used keyboard shortcuts to get to the mouse preferences and it just says there is no mouse connected.

Problem with a mouse I have been using a MacBook Air computer with Logitech Pebble M350 mouse. Everything was working very well for about 6 months. Then there was an accident and computer have stopped working. I have bought same new MacBookAir computer again. I have set up most of the things by now. Everything is OK. The thing that I couldn’t set up is the mouse. The old Logitech Pebble M350 mouse that was working well with the old computer does not work any more. When I try to set up the mouse, the system goes and keeps searching and searching for a Bluetooth mouse to be discovered, but never finds a device.(See the attached screenshot Logitech Pebble M350 mouse not found)

Never Mind! Took out batteries, tested they were fully charged. Then reinserted batteries and rotated them in the Mouse. Turned Mouse ON. It works again!
