Apple Superdrive not recognised

I have a MacBook Pro 2019 that does not have USB ports. so I bought a Lindy USB to thunderbolt adapter, but this did not work. Has anyone successfully connected a superdrive to this laptop.

Apple Superdrive not showing up. My Superdrive worked fine on my 2014 iMac but now trying to use it with my MacBook Pro M1 or my MacMini M1, it won't even recognize it. I've connected directly to my MacMini with the USB connector. I've also tried to connect it with the USB-C to Digital AV Adapter using the USB port on it. Nothing I do works.

MacBook Pro not recognizing Superdrive I recently purchased a new MacBook and I need to install something onto it via CD. However, neither of my MacBooks (2016 and 2019) will even recognize my superdrive. Both devices are running MoJave. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, are there any solutions? Do any of the new Macs post-2014 even still work with the superdrive?

Superdrive no longer recognized by MacBooks MacBook Pro mid 2012/Mac OS 10.14.6 this device used to recognize Superdrive but somewhere along the line, I stopped working. Why?? MacBook Pro 21/macOS 12.0.1. - I was hoping this new machine will solve the problem, but no. the symptom is when I put in the disc, it spits back.. I invested in 2 Superdrives and none is working. I wish Apple provides some answers and fixes.

You need to use an official Apple USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple.
