can't pair my watch to phone

I'm trying to pair my phone and new watch and it's taking too long. Getting "signing pin to your account" and never gets past that. been like this for over an hour. Tried to re-start again and now getting the same message.

I assume you mean "signing in to your account". First, make sure that your Apple Watch is connected to the Internet—either through your iPhone, or directly via Wi-Fi or cellular. If you're sure that your watch has an Internet connection and you still see the error, follow these steps:
