You cannot download iTunes inspire of attempting to download it? OR iTunes is not available for your version of the macOS? If your Mac is using macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur or macOS Monterey, then you won’t be able to get or need iTunes. In this case, you would connect your iPhone to your Mac and look for it listed in the Finder app in the left column.

If you're using Catalina or newer, restore the iPhone in the Finder. Otherwise, it depends on what happens when you try to run or download iTunes.
