can i link my apple watch to my phone data even if i have no wifi?

At work i dont have wifi so i use my data on my phone. i wanted to know can i use my data and have my watch send and receive notifications/texts by it connected through bluetooth on a gps model or do i need to get the cellular version for this?

Can GPS only apple watch connect to WiFi? I have been looking into getting an Apple Watch, so I do not need to bring my phone everywhere with me. My question is if I get a GPS only one (no cellular), can I connect to nearby wifi connections and use the watch to send texts, and other things without my phone nearby? Thank you so much!

Your watch uses your phone's number to make calls and send texts,you just need to have your phone with you.
