Payment method

Hello. My payment for ICloud was declined this morning. My visa card was changed due to bank changes. They gave us the new cards, al dough everything was only transferred and I didn’t have problems until today.

They told me in my bank to chack with you, because there is not much that they could do.

On my phone, it is not possible to change the card, or update. It’s declining me in every way.

I tried to change the region and put my current place of living a nd put a card, but it is not letting me.

Could you please help me, I really need my cloud ☺️

Review this document about what to do "If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store" Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT203005 It mostly just suggests you make sure your payment method is up to date or to try a different one. Apple is probably just checking with the system linking to your financial institution and asking if the payment method is valid. The system is providing a negative response. Make sure the name and address are entered exactly as it appears on your financial institution bills and that the 3 digit CVV is correct. Check with your financial institution about the status of your card.


Make sure this is one of the 'Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID'; click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT202631 A solution may be to use a method from the same country as the store you are using, but Apple no longer states either way if this is a requirement (it used to say, "Make sure that the billing address for your payment method matches the billing address for your Apple ID" which was more helpful than saying nothing the way it currently does). Also read any footnotes in the document for a payment method.


If you still have problems, contact official Apple Support. Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/ Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

As I said before, it may be your payment method is inconsistent with the country to which your account is set. If you live in Montenegro then set your account to that country.

You can try adding balance to your account with a gift card to cover payments but technically with a subscriptions you need to have a working card as well. Apple doesn't say anything about a grace period an could potentially cancel the iCloud+ upgrade at any time, or at least block you from using more that your basic, free 5GB.


You have set your account to Montenegro and are using payment forms that are valid for your country? (Resources for all this information I provided earlier.)


You live in Montenegro?

Your card was issued by a bank in Montenegro?

Your account country is set to Montenegro?


So it is absolutely impossible for you to contact Apple anywhere by any means? Which methods did you try? You tried the general European support link?

- When updating an old card and have ongoing subscriptions, or are the organizer of a Family Sharing group, you may need to first add the new card and make it the primary payment method before deleting the old card.

- A payment method is required if you're using your account with the App Store for the first time.

I have tried everything, but still nothing.

And here, I can’t find Montenegro. But I can put it in my phone, and it doesn’t accept my changes.
