why can't I update my MacOS to the newest version? my Lightroom app says I need to download a newer version of macOS but when I go to the store page it says no update available. can you please help me!

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Pro model is recent enough, click on Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey. They're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list.
