I got a new phone and I wanted a fresh start to my camera roll so i didn’t transfer any of my photos to my new phone. I kept getting a notification that i need icloud storage so my mum shared her 200GB plan with me using family sharing. Now i have all the old photos back and i just want the photos that i had taken on the new phone to stay and all the old photos to go. How do i do that?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

Turn OFF iCloud Photos on the old iPhone (Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos) to prevent any more syncing from the old iPhone to the new iPhone.

Then, you should be able to safely delete the old photos from your new iPhone while preserving them on your old iPhone, since they are no longer syncing.
