Hi,
If you had AppleCare+ upfront for two years of contract coverage, you are absolutely eligible to extend coverage in the form of monthly AppleCare+ billed to your Apple ID.
The day after your contract expires, you can purchase additional coverage. You would not be able to purchase additional coverage until the original contract expires, even on the last day, as you are technically still covered by AppleCare+.
You would have thirty days to extend coverage once the original contract expires.
To extend, visit mysupport.apple.com/add-coverage.
Be sure to sign in to your Apple ID prior to purchasing monthly AppleCare+.
