I bought an Iphone 12 mini and now I find that even though my provider offers a 5G network, my new phone obviously doesn’t support it. I wonder where the problem is that even though you advertise this phone as 5G friendly, I can only choose between 2G, 3G and LTE speeds. I have a phone model number MGDY3SE / A. I have also loaded the latest ios version, 15.1.1.

Contact your cellular carrier and ask for a spare SIM card 5G or (in some cases) ask them for an update to your current SIM card, along with a 5G traffic plan.

This issue should be addressed to your phone carrier. Schedule an appointment with them to have the issue resolved either via phone call or an in-person repair.
