I like to make an appointment with Apple Store located on Colorado street in Pasadena so I can take my newly purchased Mac Book Air to sync to my ipad

First of all you need to make the appointment; we are all other users here and cannot make appointments for you.
As well, due to the ongoing pandemic problems, I do not know if Apple is currently offering this service, so you need to check the store you with to visit to see what services are available. Third, other than your files, pics, etc. you cannot sync the iOS because your Mac runs Mac OS, not iOS. So, depending on what you want to sync, you will need to check if it is compatible.
