Are you using Family Sharing with an Apple Music Family subscription?

Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

Get an Apple Music family subscription - Apple Support

If so, everyone in the family gets their own music library. You can share playlists, but not the actual music itself.

See what friends are listening to in Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android device - Apple Support

With purchase sharing turned on in Family sharing, you can share your PURCHASED music from the iTunes Store.
