iPad Safari

Since the last update Safari opens in a separate column on the left side of the screen on my iPad..how do I get rid of this or get rid of the things that are listed.

Safari With the latest Apple software update, Safari only appears on part of the iPad screen and some useless info appears on the left hand side, like tabs, Shared with you, bookmarks etc. I cannot get rid of that info and get Safari to fill the whole screen. Just makes Safari useless for me. Everything seems to get less intuitive and more cumbersome with each update. What is going on?

Ipad Mini, Safari, Show All Windows How do you delete all the opened website in Safari? When I go to the main page and press the Safari icon for two seconds, a small pop-up appears giving me some options such as Edit Home Screen, Show All Windows, Show Reading List, etc. When I choose Show All Windows, I see about 17-18 screens of Safari windows are open. How do I get rid of them? Even if I delete the history of the web browser in Safari, they do not disappear from Show All Windows screen. Thank you.

Are you referring to the Safari sidebar?

First, ensure that you have updated to iPadOS 15.1 - as this resolves a functional problem with the sidebar.

The Sidebar is opened/closed with the Sidebar button at top-left of the screen:
