Why can I play my purchased movies on my iPad but not on my MacBook Air?

Watching iTunes Moves I bought downloaded on iPad Pro (USB-C) on TV with NO Wifi I would think this would be a simple question, but I am finding that it isn't. I have a lot of movies that I have bought from Apple and I would like to be able to download them to my iPad and play them on my camper TV when I don't have an internet connection. How do I do that without getting an error that tells me that "The connected display is not authorized to play protected movies"??? I can download movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime to my iPad and play them just fine. Why can't I play the movies that I've paid for? Please help. Thanks

Can't see movies or home videos library in iOS TV app Hi, My library of movies and home videos is accessible on the TV app on my mac but does not show up on iPad or iPhone. Only purchased iTunes files show up. Can anyone help? Thanks

Verify that you are signed in to the TV app on your Mac (menu Account) with the Apple ID account as used for the purchase.
