Migration to new MacBook Pro
Is Migration Aid the best way to migrate to a new Macbook Pro? Does it leave the latest version of the Operating System in place on the new MacBook Pro?

Hi gojodyo,
Yes, Migration Assistant is the best way to migrate to a new MacBook Pro. When you power on your new MacBook Pro, the Setup Assistant will include the Migration Assistant inside it as well.
To get the fastest data transfer speeds, I recommend doing the following:
You could also run Migration Assistant on the older Mac as well and use it to transfer the content wirelessly, but that could take longer to complete.
EDIT: Migration Assistant doesn't change the version of macOS running on the new Mac.
