my notes app icon on my iPhone has disappeared. If I search, the notes appear however there is no notes app icon on any screen. It does not allow me to re-download from App Store. On App Store it just shows ‘’open’. Please advise.

Check for it under the App Library. Next to the last page of the Home Screen. If it is in the App Library Touch, Hold and Drag the icon to Home Screen. That's it.
