I am making an iMovie on my iMac Pro and cannot record sound (narration)! I am using the built in microphone as I have many times before! The clip shows that I am recording, but there is no sound on playback! The builtin microphne works in Final Cut Pro!
Activate the microphone by going to System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy and click on the Microphone item in the left sidebar. Then put a check next to iMovie in the right hand pane.
