How do I unlink the Apple Pay from the Safeway App?

I called Safeway and the tech rep was not able to help. Apparently they use an Android OS and the is an 3 dots (…) by the Link to Apple Pay that allows the rep to make changes, but the Apple Phone does not have the 3 dots. I then tried deleting the Apple in a hope that the data would be deleted but when I re-downloaded the app the Apple Pay was still Linked.
The dots are irrelevant.
In the Safeway app you can link Apple Pay, link a bank account or use your Safeway cash balance. Those seem to be the only options. So, you would need to select direct pay or Safeway cash instead of Apple Pay.
That may be better posed of Safeway. You should be able to change your stored payment type in the app.
I don’t want any payment linked in the app. I just want to use my Apple wallet. I made the mistake of linking at set up and now cannot undo.
It appears that they have no way to undo payment.
