My email won’t come through when I click the mail icon

When I try to add the email I get a message that the iCloud is set up.

The Apple ID is signed in iPad and iCloud is also set up ( the same Apple ID can't be signed for the second time ) only the mails can't be received see the article If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
