i accidentally failed to transfer apps and data from iphone 7 to 12 mini. How do I sorr this?

The advice was good to the extent that I ended up restoring factory settings and starting again.

I had not realised how long it would take to complete the process of transferring data from my iPhone 7 to a new iPhone 12. Interrupting the first attempt had created a problem that I could only solve by starting again.
