iMac 2020 27inch ssd 512

Hello,


I have an iMac 2020 27inch with ssd 512gb soldered, in case the sdd get broken, so how can i fix it, send it back to Apple if i have Apple Care? or anything else?

Yes, you can send it to Apple to get it fixed.


If you still have Warranty the repair may be free if the drive failure is considered a manufacturing defect.


Apple Care+ will let you send in for repair for a reduced fee if it was somehow a user caused issue with the drive.

If the SSD did fail AppleCare would replace the board the SSD is mounted on because (as you noted) the SSD is soldered onto the board. This of course assumes that your AppleCare is still in effect. This is another excellent reason why your backup should be current at all times so if that does happen you don't lose your data.
