SIM card failed

My phone all of a sudden shows SIM Card Failed on the screen.

When I tried to take out the SIM, clean the tray, and put it back, it keeps showing No SIM.

• I restarted my phone, no difference.

• I reset the network settings, no difference.

>> Under carrier settings it doesn’t even have anything, it just says add cellular plan.

• I tried putting in my husband’s working SIM card, no difference.

• I checked for a software update, it’s up-to-date with iOS 14.7.1.

I did all of these things several times and it made no difference. I even checked if my phone company recognized a problem with my account or settings. Everything is normal.

I thought if I just waited until the next day maybe something would get fixed, no difference. It still says No SIM.

I have not dropped my phone, it has a thick phone case anyway, and a screen protector. But either way I haven’t done anything to it to make it bring up a failure.

What do I do?

iPhone 11
