A 2012 iMac can run up to macOS 10.15 Catalina. It can not run the latest macOS 11 Big Sur.

Thanks for answering my question... doing Time Machine back up thats taking a long time as I have almost 800 GB to back up.
I think I will do the normal Catalina not the clean up though, Thanks again
