Apple watch not tracking exercise?

I have a new Apple watch series 6 and it is not tracking my exercise. Every morning I do a 25 min brisk incline walk on my treadmill and typically burn about 220 total cals (and I always get the full 25 mins counted towards my green exercise ring). This morning, I tracked the workout the same way that I always do and only burned 120 cals and got 0 mins counted towards my green exercise ring. My heart rate was up the whole time (148 bpm). Like I said, yesterday was the complete opposite, my treadmill workout counted towards my exercise ring. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can fix this issue?

Thanks!

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
