I have an iPhone 12 and I can't seem to start a group facetime or join one. What do I need to do?

I have an iPhone 12 and I can't start a group Facetime or join one. I used to be able to do that when I have my iPhone 8. But now that I have switched to iPhone 12, I am unable to do so.
