i have a macbook pro 13 inch mid 2012 with high sierra i need to know what adapter i can get that will alow me to connect to my tv with HDMI

I would like to know the right adapter to get I saw about the Apple USB c digital av multiport adapter but I don't know if that would work

I believe they're the same. Adapters will also be named "Mini DisplayPort to HDMI". It's all similar.
